roro blonyo


Roro Blonyo is a pair of masculine and feminine idols originated from East Java and Central Java exemplifying prosperity or harmony in matrimony. It called as loro blonyo, too. 'Loro' means two and 'blonyo' means trimed. So, it is a symbol of couple in javanesse wedding.
In East Java, The shape of the idol is plainer for it is crafted by common people, whereas in Central Java, the shape is more complex and glorious because it is meant for high rank peoples (royal family).
To brings prosperity about, this idol must be worshiped. If used for symbolizing harmony in matrimony, the masculine idol is put on the right side, while the feminine is on the left side of the bed. Along with the progression of time, people do not use the idols as the original function but it is not more than adornment liked by western people.

Borobudur


Borobudur is the famous Buddhist temple. It is located in Central Java, Indonesia. dating from 8th and 9th, it build in three tiers: a pyramidal base with five concentric square terraces, the trunk of cone with three circular platforms, and at the top is a monumental stupa. Borobudur comprises six square platform topped by three circular platform, and is decorated with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues. Borobudur built ans decorated perhaps before 800 AD. It should be on anybody's list of the ten greatest art-complexes in the world for it size, quality, sophistication and excellent state of preservation.

Gamelan is the main element of Indonesian traditional music. It is a term of various tipes of orchestra played by musician. Each gamelan is slightly different from the other; however all of them are have same organization. It based on different instrumental groups with specific orchestral function.
